Serious Business in NH

The winner sounds good, but I think my favorite name is Lake Winnepachocolately. For some reason, the winning flavor reminds me of my brother John ; )

Hood ice cream flavor contest

Should the category be sports or 80's?

Tiger's lose!

Oh no, the Tigers got destroyed!

Try reading this article - it's almost like they're trying to communicate in English!

My friend Carl explained the sport to me once, and I understood for about 5 minutes.

What's up with me?

Hi,

I haven't posted in a while - so here's what I'm up to:

This past Saturday I had a shrimp boil at my place. I had 30 people and one dog attend. The boil turned out really good, and people brought more apps and desserts than we could have possibly eaten. Mike and Chris flew out from MI, a bunch of folks fought the "leaf peeper" traffic driving up from Mass, and Al's sister Lori drove down from Maine. After the party, the Ouellettes spent the night - we put the kids to bed and smoked some good cigars out back in the moonlight. Pix from the boil are on my website. Shrimp Boil Pix

Sunday, I work up to the sound of the boys playing with my toys. We headed to church, heard a good sermon about marriage, then had a nice breakfast at the Derry Diner. After a brief photosession at the pond, the Ouellettes headed home. Mike and Chris and I went back to the house to watch some football, then I drove Chris to the airport. I left Mike to watch football, but when I got home, I was surprised to find him cleaning my kitchen. I pitched in we got the whole place cleaned up pretty quickly. Then we headed out to the pub to watch the afternoon games. Then it was back home to watch the Sunday night games and the deleted scenes and alternate endings to X3.

On Monday morning, Mike and I drove to Logan and parked the car. We took the train into the city, had lunch at the Pour House, went to Newbury Street Comics, stopped in at Cheers and basically has a great day walking around Boston in perfect weather.

This coming weekend is the Pilon Family Oktoberfest party in MD. I'm taking Friday off and driving down to Annie's Thursday night with the Ouellettes. Kelly is excited to see Annie's boys again, and especially to see how my "spirited" Godsons get along (i.e. how much havoc can they wreak). Of course, my MI cousins will be attending as usual. I think I see them now more than when I lived there! Anyway, Oktoberfest is the main reason for the trip, but having crab cakes at G&M is a close second.

Well, that should do for now. I'm sure I'll be posting some pictures and a re-cap of Oktoberfest next week.

I hope everyone is happy, healthy and safe.
