Why do we let politicians be politicians?

Tired of this?

"Elect me, I'm not as bad as the other guy!"

"Vote for me, I'll take less of your money!"

"I'm running for office because I ran my business into the ground and really need a job!"

"I'll serve you by compromising my values and yours!"

I think we need to stop voting for public officials and start drafting them. Voters should find someone in their community who is capable of leadership, who reflects their values and who can run a business (or government), and draft them into service. Pick someone who doesn't want the job, but that you know will do it if asked because they have a good work ethic.

I'll tell you about my tax plan next week.

Who's cooler?

A lot of people ask me, "who's cooler, the Fonz or Vinnie Barbarino?"

And I say "the Fonz, of course, he had a motorcycle."
